Steps
If using dry dried mushrooms, soak them in warm water. If using fresh mushrooms, slice them and cook them in a pan until fully cooked.
Dice red/white onion and sauté it in oil until soft and lightly golden.
In another pan add tarhonya, the mushroom water, soup blocks, and ~250 ml of water. Let it cook and keep adding water until it’s “al dente” (firm and chewy, not overcooked and mushy). After the pasta is cooked, keep cooking until all the water evaporates, add a bit of oil, and fry it.
Cut garlic into thin strips and add it to the onion. Stir for ~30 seconds, then move everything to a bowl and wait for the pasta to finish frying.
Cut the mushrooms into smaller pieces. Chop the dried tomatoes.
Salt the pasta, then combine everything together.
Add parmesan and/or other cheese and cook until all the cheese melts.
